FORMER SCHOOL BUS DRIVER SEXUALLY ABUSED A VULNERABLE BOY
He was found guilty of three counts of indecent assault and one count of buggery. These crimes pertain to historic allegations of sexual misconduct involving a boy, which occurred over thirty years ago.
The abuse started when Cox was in his early 30s.
Prosecutor Robert Meikle noted that Cox is currently incarcerated, having received a 15-year sentence in 2016 for the systematic sexual abuse and rape of another young boy between 2011 and 2015.
Although Cox was nearing parole after serving approximately two-thirds of his sentence, he now faces an extended period behind bars.
Mr Meikle described how Cox, utilising his trusted position as a bus driver in southeast London, repeatedly targeted and sexually abused a vulnerable young boy over several years.
The court was told that the victim felt trapped and unable to escape Cox, and that he did not disclose the abuse because it distorted his understanding of right and wrong.
The victim reported the offences to authorities in 2020.
