KENNOWAY MAN ERIC ANDERSON ACCUSED OF SEXUALLY ASSAULTING MULTIPLE WOMAN BETWEEN 2012 AND 2019
A man accused of sexual assault in a Fife care facility is scheduled to face a trial.Eric Anderson, aged 61, is alleged to have assaulted a woman at a residence in Cellardyke on multiple occasions spanning from January 1, 2012, to December 31, 2016.
He also faces charges of attacking another woman at an address in Crail on June 2, 2019.
Anderson has denied the allegations, stating that he did not commit the sexual assault of the first woman.
The prosecution alleges that he seized her body, pushed her against a wall and door, attempted to kiss and touch her, and indecently touched her over her clothing.
Regarding the second woman, it is claimed Anderson touched her on the body, placed his hands inside her clothing, and touched her indecently.
During a hearing at Dundee Sheriff Court, Anderson entered not guilty pleas to all charges.
His legal team, represented by counsel Robert Hovey, also put forward a special defence of consent for the charge related to the second woman.
The trial has been scheduled for March by Sheriff Alastair Carmichael.
