DORSET PAEDOPHILE JAILED FOR LIFE AFTER SERIOUS CHILD SEX ABUSE IN KENT
Once a thriving local businessman, Eric Alan Amey from Puddletown was sentenced at Bournemouth Crown Court shortly after being found guilty of four counts of indecent assault against a child under 12 years old.The crimes took place on a single occasion sometime between July 10, 1984, and July 10, 1988, within the Puddletown and Crossways areas.
At age 92, Amey was known in the community as a successful entrepreneur and was popularly nicknamed 'Giant'.
Law enforcement officials expressed hope that his imprisonment would help bring some degree of closure to the victim and her family.
On November 9, Amey received a sentence of five years and three months in prison at Bournemouth Crown Court, and he has been forever added to the Sex Offenders Register.
