MAN JAILED FOR BRUTAL DOMESTIC ASSAULT IN LIMAVADY
Eamon Begley, aged 30 and residing on Kings Lane in Limavady, was handed down a four-year prison sentence for charges including domestic abuse, actual bodily harm, and assault.
The court specified that he must serve half of this term in custody, with the remainder to be served on licence.
Furthermore, Begley received a five-year restraining order designed to protect his former partner, Natalie Mullan, requiring him to stay at least 200 meters away from her.
The incident, which took place on July 19th, 2022, occurred amidst a relationship that involved coercive control and eventually turned violent.
Natalie described how Begley pushed her onto a glass bed-side table and repeatedly stamped on her head, making her feel as though her life was at risk.
As a result of his assault, she sustained swollen eyes and a broken nose.
His criminal actions have led to his imprisonment and imposed restrictions aimed at preventing any further harm.
