A man convicted of abusing a woman who was 17 at the time over an eight-month span has been handed a 15-year prison term and will be subject to lifelong inclusion on the sex offenders register.
The court reached its decision after a five-day trial held at Grimsby Crown Court on July 2, 2025.
Dylan Lowther, 21 years old and residing at Wilmington Park in Hull, was sentenced on September 16, 2025, after being found guilty on a total of 11 charges.
The jury, composed of four members, unanimously convicted Lowther of four counts of assault by penetration, three counts of compelling someone to engage in sexual activity without consent, a single count of sexual assault, two counts of rape, and one count of controlling or coercive behaviour.
