DOUGLAS YOUNG OF WEENSLAND PARK SENTENCED IN GALASHIELS CASES

Douglas Young of Weensland Park pleaded guilty to assaulting Sally Wilson at a residence on Church Street in Galashiels on February 2. He was identified as the individual who grabbed her by the neck with both hands, causing injury. Additionally, Young admitted to making threatening or abusive remarks by repeatedly sending text messages to his former partner and her mother between January 2 and January 18. As part of his sentence, he received a community payback order with the requirement to attend the Caledonian Men's Programme, serving as a direct alternative to imprisonment.
