FOUR MEN JAILED FOR RAPING WOMAN IN EALING
Four men received sentences totaling over 71 years after being convicted of raping a woman in Ealing. The incident involved a prolonged assault on the victim following her encounter with the men at a nightclub in August 2017.
Detective Constable Angie Meadows, involved in the investigation, remarked that this was among the most severe assaults she had encountered in her career and that the sentence length was justified.
Dmitri Ceban, aged 28 from Princes Park, Hayes, was sentenced to 16 years in prison at Isleworth Crown Court on Wednesday, May 12, having been convicted of rape the previous day at the same court.
The court proceedings revealed that the four men were present at an Ealing nightclub on the night of August 12, 2017.
CCTV footage showed Lupu approaching several women before dancing with the victim and purchasing drinks for her.
The victim had intended to take a taxi home, but her phone was malfunctioning, so she left the club with Lupu, who offered to assist her in securing transportation.
She recalls being placed in a car with four men who then drove her to a Northolt address.
Inside, she was repeatedly raped by all four men over roughly 90 minutes.
After the assault, the suspects returned the victim’s clothes and arranged a taxi to her residence.
She later visited hospital, where she reported the incident to police.
Officers collected evidence from CCTV inside the nightclub and the venue's ID check system, which helped identify the accused men.
They were arrested, denied the allegations, and provided differing accounts of the evening.
Detective Constable Meadows emphasized the trauma faced by the victim, noting her bravery and resilience in supporting the case.
She added that the police remain committed to safeguarding women and urged anyone aware of sexual assaults to come forward, assuring them of support from specially trained officers.
