DEREK CUTMORE OF LINDAL SENTENCED IN THE CITY FOR FAILING TO NOTIFY TRAVEL TO SLOVAKIA
Derek Ralph Cutmore, aged 47, has been sentenced to six weeks in prison for failing to inform authorities about his recent trip to Slovakia, in violation of his Sexual Offences Prevention Order.
Cutmore, of Lindal, had previously served part of a five-year order following a sexual offence against a nine-year-old girl.
In June 2012, he avoided imprisonment for that offence but was placed on supervised release.
He admitted to neglecting police instructions during his recent visit to Slovakia, where he went to see his unemployed brother.
Additionally, the court issued a £230 fine.
The case has highlighted ongoing concerns regarding his prior sexual offences.
