DENIS KANE FROM MUCKAMORE SENTENCED FOR CHILD PORNOGRAPHY OFFENSE IN BELFAST
In a case that has shocked the local community of Muckamore, Denis Kane, a 57-year-old man and father of two, was sentenced to six months in prison after admitting to possessing and downloading explicit images involving minors.The court heard that Kane had a disturbing 'morbid fascination' with child pornography, which led him to download a total of 82 sexual images of children from the internet.
During the proceedings at Belfast Crown Court, Kane, who resides on Tirgracy Road in the Muckamore area of Antrim, was found guilty of these serious offenses.
The court also imposed additional penalties, including a seven-year registration on the sex offenders' register, reflecting the gravity of his actions and the potential risk posed to the community.
Furthermore, Kane was banned from accessing the internet from his home, a measure aimed at preventing any further offenses or access to illegal material.
