ABERDEEN MAN FINED FOR THREATENING PREGNANT PARTNER
A man named Dean Smart has appeared in court following an incident where he threatened to slash his pregnant partner.The incident occurred in the early hours of a Monday at an address in Aberdeen.
Smart flew into a rage upon discovering his partner going through his mobile phone, striking her in the face and making threats such as, "I’ll slash your f****** face.
I’ll break your f****** face." The police responded, traced the pair to the address, and arrested Smart.
He pled guilty to a domestically aggravated charge of threatening or abusive behavior.
His defense explained that their relationship was on-and-off and problematic, and that Smart was trying to retrieve his phone during an argument.
Smart, who is 33 years old, was fined £350 by Sheriff Morag McLaughlin.
The court proceedings included details about the background of the relationship, which is strained and involves issues related to Smart’s partner being five months pregnant with his child.
