KINGUSSIE SEX OFFENDER JAILED FOR HORRIFIC CRIMES AGAINST TEENAGE GIRLS
Dean Hargreaves was sentenced at the High Court in Stirling for crimes, including sexual assault and sexual coercion, committed between 2014 and 2017.
He was aged between 17 and 20 when the offences took place at locations in the Highland and Islands and East Yorkshire.
The 28-year-old was told he would be placed on the sex offenders register indefinitely.
Hargreaves, who denied all charges at the High Court in Inverness but was convicted of multiple offences after a week-long trial before Lord Renucci, faced evidence from six women, five of whom he was convicted of offending against.
The court heard how he connected with underage girls on social media, asked for nude images, and coerced victims into sexual activity with threats to share images or contact their families.
He was also found guilty of multiple counts of sexual assault and coercion, with sentencing resulting in four and a half years in prison, backdated to March 9, 2026, along with an indefinite sex offenders registration and non-harassment orders.
