DAVE RUSSELL FROM NATEBY CAUGHT WITH 18,000 CHILD ABUSE IMAGES IN CUMBRIA

In a disturbing case that has shocked the local community, David Russell, a 36-year-old man residing in Nateby, Cumbria, has admitted to possessing an alarming number of indecent images of children. Over a span of seven years, from July 2008 to July 2015, Russell downloaded and accumulated more than 18,000 illicit photographs depicting child abuse, some of which he also distributed.

The details of the case were revealed during a hearing at Carlisle Crown Court, where Russell pleaded guilty to five separate charges, including the possession of illegal images. The court was informed that among the images found on his devices, 57 were classified as Category A, indicating the most severe level of abuse content.
