MAN JAILED FOR SEXUALLY ASSAULTING SLEEPING GIRL

A man was sentenced to nine years in prison after being convicted of sexually abusing a teenage girl and secretly recording her while she was undressing.

David Rudkin, aged 57, was taken into custody in 2019 following a complaint from the victim, who reported that he had assaulted her while she was asleep and had hidden his phone to capture footage of her changing, according to Humberside Police.

Initially denying the charges, Rudkin was released on bail during ongoing investigations.

Law enforcement later recovered an old mobile device belonging to him that contained a video of the girl disrobing.

He from Roxby Road, Winterton, admitted to multiple offences including sexual assault and voyeurism during a court hearing in March.

He was subsequently sentenced at Hull Crown Court on the Friday following that plea.
