DAVID PROCTOR FROM FREISTON SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULTS ON YOUNG GIRLS IN LINCOLN
In a case that has shocked the community of Freiston, David Proctor, a 45-year-old man from Park Lane, was sentenced to a minimum of four years in prison after admitting to multiple serious sexual offenses involving two young girls.The crimes took place over a period spanning from May 2004 to January 2006, and the details emerged during a court hearing at Lincoln Crown Court.
Proctor, who confessed to being unable to control his disturbing urges towards children despite his own feelings of disgust, pleaded guilty to eight charges of sexual assault.
The victims, both six years old at the time, were subjected to his abuse on separate occasions, with the court being told that one of the girls had revealed that Proctor had threatened her with death if she disclosed what had happened to her mother.
The judge, Mr.
Justice Heath, expressed significant concern over Proctor’s own admission that he feared he could not suppress his impulses.
The court heard that Proctor’s defense solicitor described him as being deeply ashamed of his actions and eager to seek treatment to better manage his feelings.
Despite this remorse, the judge emphasized the severity of the crimes and the danger posed by Proctor’s continued presence in society.
Judge Heath stated that Proctor must serve at least four years before he could be considered for parole, underscoring that release would only be granted when the Parole Board was satisfied that he no longer posed a threat to the public.
