MALVERN MAN JAILED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT OF TEENAGE GIRL
David Parry, a father of two, received an eight-year prison sentence after being convicted of raping a 15-year-old girl.The 31-year-old was found guilty following a nine-day trial at Worcester Crown Court.
Judge Andrew Geddes described Parry's behavior as 'repulsive' and criticized his manipulative attitude towards the girl, who was in a children’s home in Redditch.
The judge pointed out that Parry attempted to undermine the reputation of both the girl and her mother to avoid responsibility.
The assault took place on March 12 of the previous year when Parry forced the girl to have sex during a drive back to the children's home after supplying her with alcohol.
He lied about his car breaking down when police stopped him.
Medical tests confirmed the presence of Parry’s DNA in semen collected from the victim.
Parry admitted some aspects of his defense, claiming the girl inserted the DNA herself from a used condom; however, the court found the evidence against him to be conclusive.
Parry, who has a wife and two children, attended the court proceedings to support himself and has experienced personal repercussions, including threats and an attempt on his life after his arrest.
He had previously fled after being released on bail to attend a funeral and was later imprisoned for six months for escaping custody.
