A man who police said had "exploited children for his own personal gain" has been jailed for 11 years.

David Masters, from Birstall, was sentenced at Bradford Crown Court after being convicted in November of multiple sexual offences.

The 46-year-old also pleaded guilty to making indecent photographs of children and two counts of distributing indecent images.

Officers investigated Masters in 2024 following a report about a missing 16-year-old girl, leading to a complex investigation involving multiple victims.

Besides his jail term, Masters must sign the sex offenders register for life and received a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

Restraining orders have also been imposed against his victims.

One victim, aged 17 at the time, said in her impact statement: "trying to rebuild my life after what he did" but feels she may never recover.

Another victim, aged 15, said: "It feels like the colour has gone from my life and everything has gone grey," and expressed feelings of being directionless.

The court found Masters guilty of engaging in sexual penetrative activity with a girl, facilitating sexual exploitation, causing or inciting exploitation, and arranging or facilitating exploitation.
