NORFOLK MAN SENTENCED FOR DECADES OF SEXUAL ABUSE
A man who police accused of carrying out a relentless cycle of sexual abuse over several decades has been sentenced to prison.David Margrie was found guilty of 14 offences, including rape, child rape, and indecent assault, spanning from 1970 to 2018.
The sentence was handed down at King's Lynn Crown Court, with Margrie, aged 66, of St Edmunds Close in Attleborough, Norfolk, receiving 16 years in prison along with a further four years on license.
Detective Constable Natalie McCormack described the abuse as a "relentless cycle over decades" which had a lasting impact on the victims’ lives.
She praised the bravery of three victims who testified in court and expressed hope that this conviction would encourage others to come forward and report abuse, assuring victims that they will be listened to.
