CHARITY MAN JAILED FOR 23 COUNTS OF CHILD SEX ABUSE
Authorities have commended the bravery shown by two young individuals who came forward to disclose they endured horrific sexual abuse as children nine years ago.The man responsible for the abuse between 2008 and 2010 has now been sentenced to 16 years in prison after admitting to multiple charges related to sexual misconduct.
David Le Cras, aged 61, pleaded guilty to 23 counts at Bristol Crown Court.
He has been sentenced to 16 years behind bars, with the judge also stating he will serve an additional five years on license after his release.
Le Cras confessed to numerous offences, including compelling a child under 13 to participate in sexual activities, sexually assaulting a child under 13 through penetration, sexually assaulting a child under 13, and possessing indecent images of children.
Two further charges will be kept on file.
Previously, Le Cras was a respected member of the community in Patchway and served as a trustee for the Patchway Minibus charity, though he is no longer affiliated with the group.
