CHILD RAPIST JAILED FOR 25 YEARS

A man from Swansea has been given a 25-year jail sentence after he was found guilty of the historic rape of two girls under the age of 16.

David Lake, aged 57 and from Llansamlet, was responsible for multiple assaults against the two young women, both of whom are now adults.

In April, he was found guilty of various charges including one count of raping a girl under 16, four counts of indecently assaulting a girl under 14, one count of unlawful sexual intercourse with a girl under 13, and an additional count of attempting to indecently assault a girl under 16.

Today, Lake was sentenced to 25 years in prison and will be subject to lifelong registration as a sex offender.
