DAVID KILDEA FROM LIVINGSTON AVOIDS JAIL AFTER SENDING PORNOGRAPHIC PICTURES TO UNDERAGE GIRL IN GREATER MANCHESTER
In a case that has drawn significant attention, David Kildea, a 46-year-old resident of Livingston, West Lothian, was found guilty of sending explicit images of himself to a minor girl residing in the Greater Manchester area.The incident took place over a span of one week in November 2011, during which Kildea engaged in a series of inappropriate communications with the underage girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons.
According to court records presented at Livingston Sheriff Court, Kildea was charged with persuading a child under the age of 13 to view a sexual image.
The court heard that Kildea had actively encouraged the girl to look at the explicit material, which is a serious offence under the law.
Kildea pleaded guilty to these charges during the proceedings, acknowledging his misconduct.
Despite the gravity of the offences, Sheriff Douglas Kinloch decided against imposing a custodial sentence.
Instead, Kildea was sentenced to a period of social work supervision lasting three years.
Additionally, the court ordered that Kildea’s name be entered onto the sex offenders register, a measure intended to monitor and restrict his activities moving forward.
