Milton Keynes Sexual Abuser
In a significant legal development, David Humbles, a man residing in Milton Keynes, has been handed an indeterminate prison sentence after admitting to a series of heinous sexual offences involving children. The sentencing took place at Huntingdon Crown Court on Friday, June 11, 2010, marking a decisive step in the pursuit of justice for his victims.

Humbles, aged 39, faced a total of 21 serious charges related to child sexual abuse. His guilty plea encompassed 11 counts of rape, seven counts of indecent assault, one count of sexual assault, and two counts of indecency with a child. The court sentenced him to serve a minimum of eight years in prison, with the possibility of parole only after this period, contingent upon his ability to demonstrate that he no longer poses a threat to the public.

Furthermore, Humbles will be subject to lifelong restrictions, including strict license conditions and mandatory registration on the Sex Offenders Register for the remainder of his life. The court's decision underscores the severity of his crimes and the ongoing risk he poses to society.

It is noteworthy that Humbles, originally from Lancashire, has previously used aliases such as Max Mitchell and David Tompkins. The offences for which he was convicted span a period from 1992 to 2008 and involve six children aged between four and 15 years old. Of the total charges, fifteen relate specifically to offences committed within Milton Keynes, five pertain to incidents in Hertfordshire, and one is linked to Lancashire.

Detective Constable Tracey Benham, who led the investigation, expressed her satisfaction with the court's ruling. She stated, “We are pleased that Humbles has been given an indeterminate sentence which should see him locked up for a very long time. Every one of his victims has been very brave during this whole ordeal and now that he is being made to pay for his despicable crimes they can hopefully start to rebuild their lives.”

This case highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to bring perpetrators of child abuse to justice and protect vulnerable members of society. The community in Milton Keynes and surrounding areas can find some reassurance in the fact that justice has been served, although the scars left by such crimes may take years to heal.
