DAVID GOWERS – CAMDEN MAN REMANDED IN CUSTODY FOLLOWING PAEDOPHILE HUNTER STING

A man from Camden Town, NW8, has been arrested following an undercover operation by the Child Online Safety Team UK, a paedophile hunter group.

David Gowers was detained by officers from the Metropolitan Police on 26 January 2025 after allegedly engaging in sexual conversations online with a person he believed to be a child.

During the exchanges, Gowers reportedly claimed to be an ambulance driver and attempted to arrange contact.

Investigators from the child protection group tracked his movements across the country — from Morley, Leeds, back to his London address — before coordinating with police to ensure his arrest.

Gowers was taken into custody by the Met Police early that morning, where he remains while inquiries continue.
