Carlisle Child Abuser
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Carlisle, two individuals, David Biggart, aged 30, and Ashleigh Brown, aged 31, have been found guilty of inflicting severe and brutal injuries on a young child. The incident, which drew significant attention from local authorities and medical professionals, involved injuries so grave that the child had to be transferred from Carlisle's Cumberland Infirmary to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle for specialized treatment.

According to court records, the child was initially brought to the Cumberland Infirmary in August 2022, where medical staff quickly recognized the severity of the injuries. David Biggart received a sentence of nine years and four months in prison, reflecting the gravity of his actions. Ashleigh Brown was sentenced to two years and seven months, a punishment that underscores the seriousness of the case but also the differences in their levels of involvement.
