DAVID ALLEN FROM LAWLEY VILLAGE PLEADS GUILTY TO CHILD SEX IMAGE OFFENSES IN TELFORD

In November 2014, a man from Lawley Village, identified as David Allen, aged 39, faced serious allegations related to the possession and creation of indecent images of children. Allen appeared before Telford Magistrates Court to answer charges that have significant implications for child protection and online safety.

The charges against Allen include six counts of making indecent images of a child, as well as one count of possessing a prohibited image of a child. These allegations cover a period stretching from March 1, 2013, to March 14, 2014, indicating a sustained period during which these illegal activities took place.

The images in question are categorized into different severity levels, ranging from Category A to Category C. Specifically, the evidence includes 99 images classified as Category A, which are considered the most serious, 141 images in Category B, and a substantial 660 images in Category C. This distribution highlights the extent and severity of the material involved in the case.

Represented by solicitor Paul Nicholas, Allen’s case has garnered significant attention due to the nature of the charges. Following his guilty plea, Allen has been ordered to register as a sex offender, a legal requirement that aims to monitor and prevent further offenses.

He is scheduled to appear next before Shrewsbury Crown Court, where sentencing and further legal proceedings will take place.
