A man accused of online sexual messaging with minors received a suspended sentence.
Dave Hunt, age 35, faced charges including three counts of attempting to engage in sexual communications with a child between October 28, 2018, and January 29, 2019, in Kidlington.
His charges also included one count of possessing an animal pornographic image and another of possessing an indecent image of a minor.
The sentencing took place at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, April 1.
Hunt, who resides on Bampton Road in Clanfield, was sentenced to six months in prison, but the sentence was suspended for two years.
In addition, he was placed under reporting requirements and prohibited from certain activities for seven years through a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
Court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £154 were also imposed.
