Daniel Thomas, a convicted sex offender residing in Welshpool, has been sentenced to a total of 12 months in prison following a series of violations related to his status as a registered sex offender.

The case highlights his troubling history of inappropriate and disturbing behavior towards young girls, which has spanned several years and multiple court proceedings.

Thomas, aged 34 and living at Leighton View, was found to have committed a serious breach of the conditions imposed upon him as a registered sex offender.

Specifically, he failed to inform police or the probation service that he was planning to travel with a child and her mother last year, and that he intended to stay in the same hotel room as a toddler for two nights.

This omission was a clear violation of the legal requirements designed to monitor and restrict the movements of individuals with his criminal background.
