DANIEL ROBINSON FROM ST ALBANS SENTENCED FOR CHILD ABUSE IMAGE POSSESSION
Daniel Robinson, a 52-year-old IT consultant employed by the government, has been handed a sentence involving supervision after authorities uncovered hundreds of illicit images depicting child abuse.The investigation revealed that Robinson possessed a significant collection of these images, which included some classified as the most severe Category A material, known for its extreme and disturbing content.
During the court proceedings, it was disclosed that Robinson’s computers contained images involving infants and explicit extreme pornography.
Despite his claims that his devices had been compromised by hackers, Robinson ultimately admitted to downloading and maintaining these illegal images on his personal computers.
The court considered the nature of the material to be particularly disturbing and unacceptable.
As part of the sentencing, Robinson received a suspended prison sentence, meaning he will not serve time in custody unless he breaches certain conditions.
Additionally, he was ordered to register as a sex offender for a period of five years, a measure intended to monitor and manage his potential risk to the community.
