HIGHCLIFFE MAN SPARED JAIL FOR MAKING HUNDREDS OF INDECENT VIDEOS AND IMAGES OF CHILDREN AND ANIMALS
A PAEDOPHILE who made hundreds of indecent images and videos of children and animals has been spared jail.
Daniel Cook, 43, of Milland Road, Highcliffe, Winchester, appeared in Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on July 31 for sentencing after pleading guilty to a series of crimes on April 15.
Cook had previously pleaded guilty to making 109 Category A indecent images of children, still and moving, between February 2, 2023 and January 6, 2024.
He had also admitted to making 165 Category B indecent images of children, still and moving, between April 3, 2023 and January 6, 2024.
Cook also admitted to possessing two extreme videos involving sexual acts performed on a dog, between May 7, 2023 and April 1, 2024.
Cook was handed a community order for his crimes, which requires him to complete 60 hours of unpaid work and register with the police for five years.
A Sexual Harm Prevention Order was also issued, prohibiting Cook from owning, renting, possessing, or controlling any computer, mobile phone, laptop, tablet, internet-enabled device, or any device capable of storing digital images.
