DAN MIHAI APOSTOL CAUGHT IN BOSTON BY ONLINE CHILD PROTECTION TEAM
In February 2018, a man identified as Dan Mihai Apostol from Boston was brought before Nottingham Crown Court after being apprehended by a dedicated online child protection team known as Protecting the Innocent.The team’s operation led to Apostol’s arrest and subsequent court appearance, where he faced serious allegations related to his conduct involving minors.
During the court proceedings, Apostol admitted to multiple charges that highlighted his disturbing intentions and actions.
He confessed to attempting to meet a child under the age of 16 with the apparent purpose of engaging in sexual activity.
Additionally, he acknowledged trying to incite a female child under 13 to participate in sexual acts, including acts involving penetration, on two separate occasions.

Following his guilty pleas, Apostol was sentenced to a term of 16 months in prison.
The court also imposed a sexual harm prevention order that will remain in effect for ten years, restricting his activities and interactions to prevent further harm.
