A disturbing case involving a Romanian grooming network has culminated in the conviction of several individuals for their roles in sexually exploiting vulnerable women in Dundee. The group, which included four men and one woman, was found guilty of numerous serious offences, including multiple counts of rape, after an extensive and detailed investigation into their criminal activities within the Tayside region.

Among those convicted were Marian Cumpanasoiu, aged 37; Remus Stan, aged 34; Catalin Dobre, aged 44; Cristian Urlateanu, aged 41; and Alexandra Bugonea, aged 34. All five denied any involvement or wrongdoing during the trial, which was held at the High Court in Glasgow. Despite their denials, the evidence presented in court led to their conviction on multiple charges.
