A former soldier was sentenced to five months in prison after assaulting his partner at a social club. Craig Gillies, aged 24, struck Kerry McIntyre on the head during an argument at Beecham’s Social Club in Irvine last November. The father of three, residing on Livingstone Terrace in Irvine, was acquitted of sending threatening texts.
