Deal Child Sexual Abuser
In August 2018, Craig Fraser, a 37-year-old man from Deal, was sentenced to prison after attempting to meet with a minor for sexual purposes. Fraser, who previously resided on the Strand in Walmer, was arrested in Whitfield, Dover, on Thursday, May 17. His arrest was carried out by officers from the Paedophile Online Investigation Team, who had gathered substantial evidence indicating Fraser's intentions to meet with a child for illicit activities.

Following his arrest, Fraser readily admitted that his plans were wrong and acknowledged the criminal nature of his intentions. Authorities seized his mobile phone and other electronic devices from his property to gather further evidence. The charges brought against him included attempting to engage in sexual activity with a child, attempting to incite a girl to participate in sexual acts, and arranging or facilitating a child sex offence.

Fraser, who pleaded guilty to all charges, was subsequently brought before Canterbury Crown Court. The court sentenced him to four years and six months in prison, reflecting the severity of his actions and the danger posed to the community. His case highlights ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat online child exploitation and protect vulnerable minors from predatory individuals.
