Bedworth Domestic Abuser Narcissistic Abuser
A man from Bedworth, identified as Corey Wilson, has been remanded in custody following his appearance at Coventry Magistrates’ Court on May 1, 2025, where he faced a series of serious charges related to a brutal campaign of domestic abuse against his partner. The allegations paint a disturbing picture of violence, manipulation, and control that spanned over a period of time, leaving the victim in a state of fear and physical harm.

Wilson, whose address is listed as Grange Road, Coventry, is accused of multiple grave offenses, including two counts of Section 18 wounding with intent, which involve causing serious injury with a weapon or means likely to cause death. He is also charged with intentional strangulation, a crime that indicates a deliberate attempt to choke or suffocate his partner, as well as coercive and controlling behavior within a familial or intimate relationship. Additionally, he faces charges of criminal damage under £5,000, suggesting he caused damage to property during the course of his alleged abusive conduct.

The court proceedings revealed harrowing details of the alleged abuse, which prosecutors described as systematic and violent. It is claimed that Wilson assaulted his partner with a glass bottle, striking her in the face, and physically beat her on multiple occasions. The most shocking allegation involves Wilson shooting his partner with a crossbow, with the arrow striking her in the side. Prosecutors state that Wilson then manipulated those around him into believing that the injury was accidental, attempting to conceal the severity of his actions.

Further allegations include Wilson’s refusal to allow his partner to seek medical treatment after injuries, instead opting to stitch her wounds himself in a disturbing attempt to hide the violence. This act of self-stitching highlights the level of control and neglect involved in the case. The victim’s suffering was compounded by Wilson’s alleged psychological manipulation, which included false imprisonment and psychological abuse aimed at exerting dominance over her.

Wilson is also accused of exerting near-total control over his partner’s life, including cutting off her access to social media and communication channels, effectively isolating her from friends and family. He is said to have forced her wages to be paid directly into his bank account, stripping her of financial independence and further entrenching her dependence on him. These actions are indicative of a pattern of coercive control, which is a serious offense under UK law.

During the hearing, Wilson did not enter a plea. The case has been transferred to Warwick Crown Court, where a Plea and Trial Preparation Hearing is scheduled for May 29, 2025. Wilson remains in custody until that date. If he pleads not guilty, a full trial will be arranged, and witnesses may be called to testify, potentially revealing a deeply disturbing case of prolonged domestic terror and abuse.
