Ballingry Child Sexual Abuser
A disturbing case has emerged involving Connor Wilson, a 20-year-old resident of Kirkland Avenue in Ballingry, who was brought before Dunfermline Sheriff Court to face serious allegations of sexual misconduct. The incident reportedly occurred on January 29 aboard a public service bus traveling along the route between Glenrothes and Ballingry, a journey that is often used by commuters and students alike.

According to court records, Wilson engaged in inappropriate sexual activity with a girl who was only 14 years old at the time. The young girl was still dressed in her school uniform when the incident took place, which has added to the gravity of the case. The depute fiscal, Alistair McDermid, detailed that the incident was captured on CCTV footage from the bus, providing clear evidence of Wilson’s actions. The footage shows Wilson reaching down and touching the girl’s vagina over her clothing, as well as kissing her on multiple occasions during the journey.

McDermid emphasized that Wilson was fully aware of the girl’s age, noting that her school uniform made her identity unmistakable. The CCTV footage corroborates the account, showing Wilson’s deliberate and repeated acts of sexual contact. The depute also pointed out that the girl was visibly wearing her school uniform, which should have served as a warning to Wilson about her age.

During the court proceedings, Wilson’s defense solicitor, Amy Allan, argued that her client believed the girl was older than her actual age. She explained that Wilson and the girl had been introduced by a mutual acquaintance who was 17 at the time, which led him to mistakenly assume she was of legal age. Despite this, the court was informed of the seriousness of the allegations and the evidence presented.

Sheriff James MacDonald ordered that Wilson be placed on the sex offenders register and called for further reports to determine appropriate sentencing. The court scheduled the sentencing hearing for September 4, where Wilson’s future legal consequences will be decided. The case has drawn significant attention due to the disturbing nature of the incident and the location involved, a bus route that is often used by local schoolchildren and commuters in the Ballingry and Glenrothes areas.
