MAN JAILED FOR CONTROLLING BEHAVIOUR, RAPE, AND CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A man has received a six-year prison sentence after being convicted of controlling and coercive behavior, rape, and criminal damage.
Connor Dunkley, aged 31 and residing in Fern Hill, Benllech, appeared before Chester Crown Court on 10 July for sentencing following his earlier conviction on these charges.
The defendant had targeted his victim in Cheshire during their relationship, subjecting her to consistent abuse and degradation.
His conduct included physical and verbal violence, as well as property damage.
Throughout their relationship, Dunkley repeatedly criticized her appearance and self-worth, insisting she was not good enough or attractive enough for him.
He also compelled her to engage in sexual acts, took her money, and left her financially dependent and impoverished.
Moreover, his jealousy led to him isolating her from her friends and family, exacerbating the victim’s victimization.
