OPTICIAN COLIN VALLANCE STRIPPED FROM PROFESSIONAL REGISTER IN CITY AFTER CHILD INDECENT IMAGE OFFENCE

A city-based optician, Colin Vallance, has been removed from the professional register following his admission to possessing more than 2,000 indecent images of children, including some depicting infants. The court handed him a three-year community order and mandated that he be on the Sex Offenders Register for five years. The Professional Council determined that Vallance posed a significant risk to both patients and the general public.
