COLIN HEATH FROM BROWN LEES JAILED FOR DECADES-OLD SEXUAL ASSAULTS IN STOKE-ON-TRENT

In a case that has spanned decades, Colin Heath, a 51-year-old man from Brown Lees, has been sentenced to prison after being convicted of a series of sexual assaults that took place during the 1980s. The offenses were committed against a teenage girl, with one of the attacks involving an attempted rape, and these incidents occurred over a prolonged period of time, highlighting a disturbing pattern of predatory behavior.

Heath's trial at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court lasted eight days, during which a jury found him guilty of seven counts of sexual assault and one count of attempted rape. The judge described his actions as part of “a persistent and consistent campaign of inappropriate sexual pestering,” underscoring the severity and ongoing nature of his misconduct. Heath’s criminal record will also include lifelong registration on the Sex Offenders’ Register, a measure designed to monitor and restrict his activities post-release.

Furthermore, Heath will be subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, which will impose strict limitations on his contact with girls under the age of 16.
