COLIN GREGG OF GOSFORTH SENTENCED TO 13.5 YEARS FOR PREDATORY SEXUAL ABUSE IN LEEDS

Colin Gregg, aged 75 and hailing from Gosforth, Newcastle, has been sentenced to a substantial prison term of 13 and a half years after being convicted on nine counts of indecent assault against young boys. The conviction followed a detailed trial held at Leeds Crown Court earlier this month, where Gregg was found guilty of abusing four boys over a span of more than three decades.

These heinous acts took place from the early 1960s through to the 1990s, with the victims aged between 11 and 14 at the time of the assaults. The court heard that Gregg, who was once a prominent figure in the community, used his influence and position to prey on vulnerable children.
