Bedford Sexual Abuser
In July 2005, Clovis Morrison, a 35-year-old man from Kimble Drive, Bedford, received a five-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to severely assaulting a 13-year-old girl. Morrison had used a knife to threaten the girl, drawing it across her neck before forcing her to perform a sexual act.

He was convicted of assault causing actual bodily harm and indecent assault occurred in Bedford on March 19 the previous year. Morrison’s legal representatives expressed remorse, with his defence stating, "He was disinhibited by alcohol at the time and unable to control his impulsive behaviour that day," said lawyer Michael Skelley.

Judge Ronald Moss condemned Morrison’s actions, stating, "This was a very serious offence. You forced yourself upon that girl at knifepoint. You injured her with that knife and although the injuries were not serious, it was part and parcel of your objective to get what you wanted from her. She had to comply."

Along with the imprisonment, Morrison received an extended three-year licence period, was ordered to register as a sex offender for life, and was permanently disqualified from working with children.
