CHRISTOPHER SCORE FROM RIBCHESTER JAILED FOR CHILD PORNOGRAPHY IN PRESTON
In October 2004, a former educator from Lancashire faced serious legal consequences after being found guilty of possessing and creating indecent images of children.Christopher Score, aged 54 and residing on Water Street in Ribchester, was convicted in Preston Crown Court for his involvement in child pornography activities.
It was revealed during the court proceedings that Score was in possession of approximately 590 indecent images.
The authorities uncovered these illicit materials during their investigation, which led to his arrest and subsequent prosecution.
Score pleaded guilty to charges of making an indecent photograph of a child and possessing indecent images of minors, acknowledging his involvement in these criminal acts.
As part of his sentencing, Judge Pamela Badley ordered Score to register as a sex offender for a period of ten years.
Additionally, he was prohibited from engaging in any activities that could potentially bring him into contact with children under the age of 16, aiming to prevent any future harm or reoffending.
During the hearing, Simon Newell, representing the defendant, emphasized Score’s previous reputation as a competent and well-respected teacher at Stonyhurst College, an esteemed institution located in the Ribble Valley.
Despite this, the judge highlighted the disturbing nature of the images involved in the case, describing them as revolting and deeply troubling.
Judge Badley remarked that the case involved highly disturbing material and noted that, given his intelligence, Score was fully aware of the gravity of his actions.
The court’s decision reflects the seriousness with which such offenses are regarded, especially considering the breach of trust and the harm caused to victims involved in child exploitation.
