CHRISTOPHER PRICE FROM MIDDLEPORT CAUGHT WITH CHILD ABUSE AND BESTIALITY IMAGES IN SHOCKING CASE
| Red Rose Database
Middleport Child Sexual Abuser
In a disturbing case that has sent shockwaves through the community of Middleport, Christopher Price, a 27-year-old resident, was found to be in possession of a significant number of illegal and highly disturbing images involving children and animals. The police investigation revealed that Price had accumulated nearly 240 child sexual abuse images, depicting minors as young as toddlers, along with explicit images of animals being sexually abused by humans.
Authorities also discovered an extreme pornographic image on his mobile phone, showing a woman engaged in sexual activity with a dog. These findings came to light after police attended his residence in Middleport on March 24 of the previous year, following intelligence reports about the possession and distribution of indecent images.
During police interviews, Price admitted to viewing and sometimes performing sexual acts while looking at these images. He expressed feelings of guilt afterward, acknowledging his actions but not denying their severity. His guilty plea was entered at North Staffordshire Justice Centre in April, where he faced multiple charges including making indecent images of children, possessing extreme pornography, and possessing prohibited images of minors.
Prosecutor Alison Whalley detailed the extent of the material found, stating that there were 41 still images and two moving images classified as Category A, which indicates the most severe level of indecency. Additionally, 84 still images and three moving images fell into Category B, with 107 images categorized as Category C. The extreme pornographic content involved a woman and a dog, and the images depicted children aged between two and thirteen, highlighting the disturbing nature of the material.
In court, Price’s neighbour expressed outrage and concern, especially given that he was allowed to continue living next door to her and her six-year-old son despite the allegations. Interestingly, outside the courtroom, Price appeared to enjoy the attention of a photographer taking pictures of him, which added to the public's concern about his attitude towards the case.
Judge Paul Glenn sentenced Price to six months in jail, but the sentence was suspended for two years, reflecting the court’s belief that there is a genuine possibility for his rehabilitation. The judge emphasized the gravity of the images, noting that they involve real children who have been harmed, often irreparably, for the entertainment of viewers of such heinous material.
Furthermore, Price was ordered to complete a 55-day rehabilitation activity requirement and was placed under a three-month curfew from 10 pm to 6 am. He was also subjected to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) for seven years, aimed at preventing further offenses. The court ordered the forfeiture and destruction of his mobile phone, and he was ordered to pay costs amounting to £425.
Earlier in April 2022, police had already been tipped off about Price’s possession of indecent images. During that investigation, he admitted to viewing and masturbating to 237 indecent images of children, further confirming his disturbing pattern of behavior. Authorities seized his devices, which contained 43 Category A images, 87 Category B images, and 107 Category C images. Price was cooperative during police interviews, acknowledging responsibility for the content found on his devices.
As the case proceeds to Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court for sentencing, the community remains deeply concerned about the implications of such offenses and the ongoing efforts to protect vulnerable children from exploitation and harm.
