Modbury South Brent Child Sexual Abuser
A man named Christopher Phillipson, with connections to the areas of Modbury and South Brent, has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term after a disturbing case of online grooming and sexual misconduct involving a young girl.

According to court reports, Phillipson engaged in a series of inappropriate online interactions with a 13-year-old girl, beginning his communication in the year 2007. The initial contact was made through various internet chatrooms, where he managed to persuade her to share her contact details, thus establishing a direct line of communication.

Over the course of more than two years, Phillipson maintained a relationship with the girl that eventually turned sexual once she reached the age of 14. During this period, he engaged in deceitful tactics, including lying about her age to others, in order to conceal the true nature of their relationship and avoid detection.

Law enforcement authorities uncovered evidence of Phillipson’s online activities, which included detailed conversations and indecent images stored on his laptop. These digital footprints played a crucial role in the investigation, leading to his arrest and subsequent prosecution.

In court, Phillipson was sentenced to 11 years in prison for his actions. Additionally, he received an indefinite ban from contacting individuals under the age of 18 through any online platform, a measure designed to prevent further harm and protect potential victims in the future.
