CHRISTOPHER MANLEY OF MYTCHETT RECALLED FOR CHILD INDECENT IMAGE OFFENCES IN GUILDFORD
A convicted paedophile from Mytchett, Christopher Manley, has been sentenced to prison once again for viewing indecent images of children while already on licence for similar crimes.
Manley, who resides on Coleford Bridge Road, used a monitored laptop and a concealed tablet to access and view the images online, as well as to communicate with girls.
During police visitations on June 1, 2018, Manley was questioned about his online activities.
He stated, "I was looking at porn but not children, I wasn't searching for that.
I was looking for teen stuff but nothing younger than that." Despite his claims, police found that he had searched for terms like "chubby teens." In June at Guildford Crown Court, the 50-year-old was sentenced to three years in prison after admitting to possessing extreme pornographic images, making six counts of indecent images of a child, and breaching a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO).
These offences were committed on two separate occasions, with the latter set of offences occurring while he was being investigated for the initial charges.
