CHRISTOPHER JENSEN PERVERT FROM SPEKE CAUGHT WITH CHILD INDECENT IMAGES IN LIVERPOOL COURT

In August 2019, a disturbing case unfolded involving Christopher Jensen, a 36-year-old resident of Rycot Road, Speke, who was found to possess and distribute indecent images of children. The incident came to light after his friend, Anna Rowan, who was hosting Jensen at her home in Speke, grew suspicious of his behavior and decided to investigate further.

According to court reports, Jensen, known to be a habitual cocaine user, had been acting strangely and disappearing for extended periods. Miss Rowan, concerned about his erratic conduct, took the initiative to check his electronic devices. On December 22nd, she accessed Jensen’s laptop using an SD card and adaptor, which she plugged into his computer to review its contents.

What she discovered was deeply disturbing. Jensen’s laptop and mobile phone contained a significant collection of indecent images of children, including 64 images classified as Category A—the most severe level—along with 17 Category B images and 57 Category C images. These images depicted the most serious forms of child exploitation, and their presence marked a grave offense.

Following her discovery, Miss Rowan sent Jensen a message demanding that he leave her home immediately. Jensen responded in a bizarre and alarming manner, asking, “Where’s my f***ing memory card? I’m not going anywhere without my memory card.” Despite her protests and apparent ignorance of the situation, Jensen eventually left the property. She promptly handed the evidence over to the police, who initiated an investigation.

Police analysis confirmed the presence of the illicit images. Jensen was subsequently arrested, and during the search, officers seized his mobile phone and a memory card. Some of the images on the device had been deleted by Jensen himself, indicating an attempt to conceal his activities. The police’s forensic examination verified the severity of the material stored on his devices.

Jensen later pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent photographs of children, with the charges relating to material on or before September 22, 2018. The court was informed that Jensen had a lengthy criminal history, with seven previous convictions spanning back to 1999. His past offenses included drug possession and production, and he had previously received a suspended sentence on March 23, 2017, for a drug-related offense, along with a community order for shoplifting, which had since expired.

During the hearing, the prosecution highlighted that Jensen was still in breach of his suspended sentence, which added to the seriousness of his current offenses. Witnesses explained that Jensen’s drug use and his tendency to disappear for days at a time were well known to Miss Rowan, who had become increasingly suspicious of his activities.

In her testimony, Miss Rowan recounted how she decided to check Jensen’s computer after noticing his suspicious absence. Upon discovering the indecent images, she immediately contacted the police and demanded Jensen leave her home. His response, asking for his memory card, was seen as a sign of his attempt to hide or retrieve evidence.

Following his arrest, Jensen was taken into custody, and further analysis of his devices confirmed the presence of Category 3 images, some of which had been deliberately deleted. His defense argued that Jensen’s previous offenses were largely driven by his ongoing struggle with cocaine addiction, which he was actively seeking help to overcome through rehabilitation.

Judge Aubrey addressed Jensen directly, condemning his actions and emphasizing the broader implications of his behavior. The judge stated, “You recognized that which you were doing, perpetuating the abuse of young children. If there weren’t people like you examining indecent material, then there would be no market for those downloading, watching, and abusing children, and those perpetuating that abuse.”

Despite Jensen’s guilty plea, the judge decided not to activate the suspended sentence, recognizing his acknowledgment of the evil involved. Instead, Jensen was handed a 12-month Sexual Harm Prevention Order, which also included a restraining order against Anna Rowan, who resides on the same estate in Speke. The court warned that any breach of this order would result in immediate imprisonment.

Additionally, Jensen received a three-year community order, a six-month drug rehabilitation program, and participation in a sex offender treatment scheme. He was also fined £100, payable at a rate of £5 weekly. The court’s decision underscores the seriousness of his offenses and the ongoing risk posed by individuals involved in the exploitation and abuse of children.
