Chieveley Child Sexual Abuser
Christopher Field, a former primary school headteacher in Oxfordshire, has been sentenced to four years and four months in prison for abusing two young girls under his care and for possession of indecent images of children. The court was told that he assaulted the girls between September 2010 and November 2011. Despite initially claiming to be innocent, he was convicted by a jury after a 13-day trial. In addition to his prison sentence, Field was ordered to remain on the sex offenders register for life. The case highlighted a disturbing breach of trust by a figure of authority within a school environment.
