CORNISH MAN CHARGED WITH COERCIVE BEHAVIOUR SHOCKS COMMUNITY
Christopher Dub, aged 41 and residing in Hillside, East Taphouse, has been charged and arraigned at Truro Crown Court with engaging in coercive behavior during a period from March to November 2023 in Bude.
The allegations include controlling a woman by dictating her clothing choices, tracking her whereabouts, restricting her access to medical assistance and support services, isolating her from friends and family, and stalking her.
The stalking involved sending approximately 40 voicemails over two weeks, along with gifts and letters, and physically appearing at her residence.
These actions caused significant distress to the woman and negatively impacted her daily life.
Dub is scheduled to appear in court on January 17 and has been granted conditional bail, which prohibits him from contacting his alleged victim or visiting her residential area in Bude.
