JAILED - CHRISTOPHER ALLEN, 71, OF EIGHT ASH GREEN, FOR STALKING AND BREACHING PROTECTION ORDERS
A JUDGE said a stalker poses a “very high risk of serious harm” to the public as he jailed him for more than two years.Christopher Allen, 71, of The Walk in Eight Ash Green, appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court via video link on Monday after admitting two breaches of a stalking protection order and one charge of stalking.
Judge Christopher Morgan recalled the timeline of Allen’s offending, from his conviction of harassment in August 2015 to his sentence for stalking in August 2024, which Mr Morgan imposed.
“You appeared in front of me charged with stalking which involved serious alarm and distress,” he said.
“It involved someone that you had met in a commercial environment.
You started sending them gifts.” Mr Morgan said Allen “bombarded” his victim and turned up at their home address.
He demonstrated a capacity to manipulate others and had been removed from a stalking awareness programme due to his insistence that one of the female tutors was attracted to him.
Judge Morgan stated, “The observation is until you meet a younger person who is prepared to have sexual intercourse with you, you will continue to commit these types of offences.
As a result, the probation service said you pose a very high risk of serious harm to members of the public, in particular, females who work in retail.” Allen was sentenced to two years, six months and one week imprisonment.
