Police apprehended Christian Geovanny Inga-Landi, aged 25, after residents in Queens identified and held him in connection with the assault of a 13-year-old girl at Kissena Park. Authorities state that Inga-Landi is facing multiple serious charges including rape, robbery, kidnapping, endangering the welfare of a child, possession of a weapon, and sexual abuse. The incident reportedly involved threatening the victims with a knife and tying their wrists with a shoelace before the arrest. The community had spotted him and called 911, and they managed to detain him until police arrived, despite his struggle. The NYPD confirmed that surveillance footage and social media images matching his clothing and a distinctive tattoo on his chest helped identify him. He is believed to be an Ecuadorian immigrant who entered the US legally but had prior detention in Texas for illegal entry. The NYPD placed a $10,000 reward for information leading to his arrest, and he is currently hospitalized for minor injuries sustained during the confrontation.
