CHRIS FEELEY FROM MILTON ON STOUR FACES JUSTICE FOR CRUELTY TO DOGS NEAR GILLINGHAM

Christopher M Feeley, also known as Christopher Campbell, born on May 13, 1981, and residing at Whistley Waters in Milton on Stour, has been held accountable for neglecting his pet dog, leading to severe suffering and the eventual amputation of the animal's leg.

Feeley, who, along with his wife Amy-Rose Feeley, owns and manages a series of self-catering holiday lodges in the rural area of Milton on Stour near Gillingham in Dorset, was found guilty of failing to seek veterinary care for his dog, a wire-haired Vizsla named Goose. The dog had sustained an injury to its rear leg under circumstances that remain unclear, but instead of providing medical treatment, Feeley allowed the injury to go untreated for an extended period.

It was revealed that Goose, who is eight years old, endured six months of neglect, during which the injury worsened significantly. The prolonged suffering ultimately necessitated the amputation of the leg, a decision made after the injury had become severe and unmanageable. The case highlights a disturbing lapse in animal care by Feeley, who had at least one other pet, another wire-haired Vizsla, indicating that he was not entirely inexperienced with caring for such animals.

Despite the gravity of his actions, Feeley was not banned from owning animals altogether. However, he was ordered to surrender Goose, who is now available for rehoming through the Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home. The court proceedings resulted in Feeley being fined £326, in addition to a victim surcharge of £130 and costs amounting to £1,521.60.
