BRIDE'S SHAME: EX-STALKER URINATES ON DOORSTEP AFTER WEDDING COLLAPSE
A JILTED Stevenston bride who stalked her ex-partner for more than a year urinated in a plant pot and left it at his doorstep.Home Office immigration worker Chloe Bennett acted out when her groom-to-be suddenly called off the wedding leaving her with big bills.
The 28-year-old began travelling to Fife and loitering outside her ex’s home, leaving various unwanted gifts.
Bennett, of Morris Moodie Avenue, appeared for sentencing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
She admitted that between June 1, 2023 and July 10 last year, at Park Street, Lochgelly, Cowdenbeath and elsewhere in Fife, she engaged in stalking behaviour towards her former partner.
Bennett repeatedly phoned him and left messages, attended his home uninvited and loitered outside.
She left unwanted items including offensive letters, a dress, a photo of them, and her ex’s medication on his doorstep.
On one occasion, she urinated in a cast-iron pot and left it there, also sending him a message about her deed.
She left a bag containing sex toys and a letter to his mother with offensive comments.
Her behaviour extended to her ex's mother seeing Bennett outside their home.
Court heard the relationship lasted six years, ending in 2023, with her ex moving back to Lochgelly.
Despite the breakup, Bennett continued her harassment with visits and messages.
Defense argued she was left with significant financial costs due to the wedding cancellation, which was called off weeks before the wedding, leading to her distress.
Her job at the Home Office could be at risk from her conviction.
Sheriff Susan Duff expressed understanding but was concerned about her persistent conduct.
Bennett was sentenced to a community payback order with a year's supervision and a non-harassment order.
The sheriff advised her to “close the door and move on.”
